An Eclipse & Equinox Equal Double the Energy

An Eclipse and Equinox create a two-day passage of ending, reordering & intention September 21st and 22nd.

 A partial solar eclipse will occur on Sunday. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the image of the Sun. Eclipse energy is often intense and shakes things up, so this is a time to be introspective and intentional. Don’t make any big moves, and practice calmness, stillness, and attention to detail.

 The following day, the Fall Equinox is upon us! It's that magical time of year when the sun crosses over Earth’s equator, making day and night equal in length all over the world.  The weather shifts from the heat of summer to milder temperatures as the days become shorter and the nights become longer. Leaves change color and decorate the ground in auburn hues. Pumpkin spice lattes corner the coffee shop market. Spooky decorations and bite-sized candies flood our supermarkets and drugstores.

Speaking of attention to detail, this solar eclipse is actually occurring in the sign of Virgo, which is mutable Earth energy. During this time, it would serve us all to pay attention to our health and reassess all the things that define the material world, refine our organizational skills or routines, and be kind to ourselves and others rather than letting that analytical perfectionist Virgo energy pick us and others apart. 

 This eclipse is a powerful time to return to yourself in the best ways possible. Harness the energy while remaining true to what matters, and you will come out on the other side stronger than you’ve ever been.

And just like any other shift in seasons, the equinox brings its own energetic exchange. This is a time of harvesting, being grateful for what we have built and grown. It is also a time of letting our own dying leaves fall by releasing what does not serve us. This is a pathway to grow, progress, and reflect.
