About The Event
Join us as we celebrate the art exhibit "Visions Quests in Color" by Rita Omark, our featured artist this quarter.
Rita Omark although a self-taught artist, has been encouraged by many wonderful teachers over the past twenty-eight years on her creative journey. She has been inspired by great masters: Georgia O'Keeffe, Helen Frankenthaler, John Marin, Pierre Bonnard, Delaunay, Van Gogh and Kandinsky.
Rita enjoys painting images from her imagination, dreams and vision quests. Sometimes a photo - a place - will inspire, presenting an opening or creative portal existing alongside the idea of the painting; most often something all its own comes through for expression.
Pure color drives the process for Rita as her vision for others viewing her art is to follow color and line and be transported to that "other place." Rita's style is eclectic as she works with many mediums: acrylic and acrylic inks, water color, oil…
