Dr. Imani Ma'at Kynes

Dr. Imani Ma’at Kynes is co-owner of Sankofa Institute for Wellness through which she promotes health and wellness from a holistic perspective. She uses various strategies such as Red-Light therapy, Alice.ai frequencies and supplementation consultation. Among her services, Dr. Imani offers a state-of-the art red-light therapy bed for clients at the Well of Roswell. Red-Light therapy helps to transform the body at the cellular level.
Dr. Imani had 22 years of experience at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where she served as a Health Scientist and Program Director. Dr. Imani was the first Director of the CDC Program entitled Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH 2010) for which she received numerous awards. She taught as an Adjunct Professor at the Morehouse
School of Medicine (MSM) where she served as Coordinator of the International Health Track.
While at CDC and MSM Dr. Imani participated on numerous research teams and spoke at national and international conferences. Further, she served as the Manager of Inmate Services responsible for all education programs for inmates at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
Awards/Honors:
Dr. Imani created the award-winning Healthy Haiku Approach, an education program evaluated through a Post-Doctorate Fellowship from Morehouse School of Medicine, Tuskegee University and University of Alabama, Birmingham. She has published several books in the Healthy Haiku series with one in publication review and continues to conduct workshops and
classes on health and wellness topics using the Healthy Haiku Method.
